Liberia on the Global Stage: From Monrovia to the World!

Liberia’s recent election to the United Nations Security Council (2026–27) is a powerful signal of the nation’s diplomatic resurgence. Securing 181 votes during the June 2025 General Assembly, Liberia joins the council as a non-permanent member — its first return to the chamber in decades.

This achievement isn’t just ceremonial. It sends a strong message about Liberia’s role in regional stability, international collaboration, and the future of African leadership in global decision-making. It also adds renewed credibility and visibility to the country’s domestic priorities — including attracting foreign investment and building sustainable development pathways.

At the 2025 Liberia Investment Conference (LIC), this momentum will be front and center. The conference, taking place July 15–18 in Monrovia, will bring together global investors, senior government officials, and key sector leaders for high-level dialogue, investment exploration, and opportunity mapping.

As Liberia steps confidently into the global spotlight, LIC 2025 offers a rare, first-hand chance to align with a country ready to lead — and partner for prosperity.
