Liberia on the Global Stage: From Monrovia to the World!

Liberia’s recent election to the United Nations Security Council (2026–27) is a powerful signal of the nation’s diplomatic resurgence. Securing 181 votes during the June 2025 General Assembly, Liberia joins the council as a non-permanent member — its first return to the chamber in decades.

This achievement isn’t just ceremonial.
